Flight 1807-09

November 9, 2009

Sujee has been wishing for his bollywood actress since childhood and then on July 18th of 2009 – he ends up marrying one. It was definitely a fun wedding to shoot – especially when you got various locations for their park shoot – don’t forget the closeups with fighter jets. Both Sujee and Michelle were wonderful to work with, always up to the challenge. Their entrance was a blast, they were welcomed with standing ovations and Michelle and Sujee repayed them with a little dance. Wishing Michelle and Sujee a wonderful life together from your team at P-your VISION. Enjoy the clip!

About a month ago we posted Siva’s and Hiran’s Part I of their wedding and we got great feedback from the lovely couple. This clip that you are about to venture with us on is Part II of their wedding, where they had a catholic ceremony and the reception. As wedding cinematographers, we look for couples like Sivanuja and Hiran to make our day that much easier and to make our videos have that spark that we all look for. For the Part I we chose a song that was sung by a male voice, something Hiran would sing to Sivanuja. In this clip we decided to use a female voice, something Sivanuja would sing to Hiran.

Enjoy

I think I have written more about Justin from Cherish Events on my blog then about myself. This was my first HD wedding that I shot last year but when Justin asked me to film Adel and Bernard’s wedding I did not plan to shoot HD, it just happened. The initial plan that I stuck to was to shoot everything as it happened, not to direct anything, just to go with the flow. It  was an honour to be part of Adel’s & Bernard’s special day – they were a really fun loving couple – bold on the fun and loving part.

Adel was the perfect bride for any videographer/photographer – she was so calm and collective. I still remember at the hotel during the preparations she said to me “you’re like the Dog Whisperer! just doing you’re own thing without being noticed”. If people know me, they know that I love dogs and the Dog Whisperer is one of my favourite shows so that was a big compliment for me.

The whole day went so smoothly; beautiful weather, great venue, good food :)   – and that was where Justin does his thing.

I know that I had to impress Adel & Bernard with my work and I hope I have done them justice.

Enjoy….

It was my first muslim wedding but Ajaz & Shabana made it very comfortable for me. My friend Fahad provided all the details on how everything is proceeded. It was a two day event, day one: Nika and gathering of the families – Day Two: Reception. The night was filled with memorable speeches, professional singers, dancing, great food – everything you can ask for in a great wedding. Thank you Ajaz and Shabana for making this a wonderful wedding for me to cover. Special thanks to Fahad.

On Top of the World!

January 3, 2009

Back in June of 2008 I got to be part of an incredible event that was to be truly unforgettable. Justin of Cherish Event Management got me hooked up with Proud FM (103.9). They were looking for a cinematographer for a contest, Big Gay wedding on top of the world, that they were running. The contest would have 3 couples celebrating their wedding on top of the CN Tower. How could I refuse an opportunity like that. The three weddings would run back to back but only two of which needed video coverage.

The day started off me heading to Sam & Richard’s hotel to get some shots of them getting ready and I had a quirky idea for the shots of their rings and you’ll see that in the beginning of this highlight clip. They really were two awesome people to work with and that makes so much easier on us videographers. I then followed them to CN Tower where they were married by Reverend Dr. Brent Hawkes, who by the way is a very courageous man and you would think so too if you heard the experience that he went through down in Toronto when he married the first gay couple. Rev Hawkes performed a beautiful ceremony for all three couples.

The next ceremony I got be part of was Margarita & Lora’s wedding. By the time they were having their ceremony it was evening time and it looked amazing outside, including the light that was on the CN Tower. We got some really cool looking shots outside. Margarita & Lora looked like they were so much in love, have a peek at the highlight clip and judge for yourself.

Thanks to Justin, all the staff from CN Tower and Proud FM. I hope I can continue on being part of this great community.

Cheers,

Prashanna
