BIO
I love film and have loved it since the time I've known my father. How is my father involved? Actually, my father was cinematographer in Sri Lanka. He continued his career when he immigrated to Canada and opened his own business. I would tag along with my father just to hold the cables, light and etc. during wedding shoots. After that experience cinematography stuck with me. When I got an opportunity to advance my skills, I took advantage of it.
In the last semester of my college year, late 2007, I created P-your [Pure] VISION Productions. At that time I was a second cameraman shooting for various studios and learning quickly. I developed my own style of shooting; candid, journalistic and documentary. My style is about letting go and allowing the event to unfold as it desires. This way I know I can get the best shots of the bride, groom, family members and friends. I concentrate on details and emotions because that's good story-telling.
Prior to providing clients with the end results, I like to work artistically and put the day together in a short clip. This is something everyone will enjoy watching. I try to read my clients and understand who they are as a couple. So when I start telling my story of their day I create it as a reflection of the couple. Retro, romantic, fun, and classy are just a few of the themes and sometimes it's a splash of everything. The equipments I use for filming and editing are the latest in technology. I also use some unique tools that enhance wedding films.
Let your Story be told by P-your VISION.
